"You Are Being Watched . . . "

I heard a phrase the other day and it somewhat caught me off-guard. "Someone is learning to be a person by watching you". Those are powerful words that strike you in the core. We know children repeat what we say, and we know they may walk in our footsteps, but do we really stop to think about the above statement and the true meaning behind it. Your child will be an adult one day and today they are learning to be that future adult. With that in mind, I may be a bit more careful with the words I say, the activities I choose, the attitude I present consistently. I will do life with intentionality because it is not just about me - it is about those eyes watching me and the impact, influence, and imprint my daily life is leaving on them.
