Learning from our Preschoolers ...

We do not often think of our preschoolers as spiritual beings, but William Schafer suggests that children are born with spiritual dimensions that we should tap into and even learn from--

They are present in the moment - they approach life with pure awareness, free from internal judgement, comparison, fear or desire.

They exude joy - they have a strong sense of being drawn to something or someone in wonder, curiosity, and interest.

They are aware of others - they realize we are not alone, that others exist who are present to our experiences.

So, let's take a lesson from our preschoolers and approach life and challenges with these three qualities and see if things might just go better in the outcome. God can use our children to teach us many of life's lessons, if we will but listen.
